Fireplace Gas Valve - SAFETY ISSUE

As has been previously reported there is a problem which exists with defective fireplace gas shutoff wall valves (Dante - Blue Flame) which were installed by the builder. A considerable number of homeowners have had problems with these gas valves leaking and have already had them replaced. Even though you may not have a problem currently it is quite probable that the gas shutoff wall valve will fail. For this reason it is highly recommended that you have the valve checked and/or replaced. There are several options available:

• Inspection - This can be done by a professional plumber. Please note that even if the valve is not currently leaking that is no guarantee that it will not leak in the future, as these valves have a problem history.
• Replacement - some companies which can perform this service are:
