In Association living there are certain responsibilities assumed by the Association and others assumed by the Homeowner. As Townhome owners, we may not always be certain as to our responsibilities and those of the Association’s regarding townhome maintenance and repair. And, whom to contact when various problems occur in and around our townhome. For example, you have a roof leak, the streetlight is not working, you have storm damage to your roof, a sprinkler head is broken or not operating properly. The following will assist you in assessing responsibility (Association and Homeowner) and determining the best course of action for resolution of a problem.
As per the Declaration of Covenants, each Homeowner shall be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the interior and exterior (as outlined below) portions of his/her Townhome, including the structural components and utility facilities and shall keep his/her Townhome in first-class condition and repair.
